TheCoolJew sparks action from the NYPD Commissioner Ray KellyLast night TheCoolJew got an e-mail from Devorah who runs the blog ShiratDevorah. She sent us a link to a post she found about a Muslim who wants to attack 770. TheCoolJew took this very seriously and forwarded the E-mail to many Lubavitch News Sites for the purpose of alerting the proper people. We got a response back from Zalman Pinson at Crownheights.info who told us that the info had been forwarded the proper authorities and their on it. Now it appears that this Morning NYPD Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly called Chanina Sperlin of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council from the Presidential inauguration in Washington DC, this morning to discuss threats against 770 on the website www.revolutionmuslim.com. "The Commissioner is looking into the situation," said Sperlin, "The Crown Heights community was considered a target in the past, and whether or not this is serious remains to be seen." Someone involved got a call from the commissioner as well as members of the joint terrorism task force and FBI, who assured him that the community does not have to worry, FBI and NYPD are working together and a major security presence is located in and around 770.
