Rabbi Heller Blasts Tzivos Hashem Concert

This morning in the Kollel in Crown Heights, Hagaon Rabbi Y. A. Heller Shlita (Head of the Crown Heights Kollel) articulated strong words against tonight's Tzivos Hashem concert. Although stressing many times that all those involved meant well, he blasted the actions of Tzivos Hashem, which besides for encouraging the kids of Crown Heights to dance with goyim, are also encouraging the community on a regular weeknight to close their gemaras, and attend a concert, all this in the name of Tzivos Hashem and Lubavitch. He also added this would be a nice thing for a shliach to do with his community, but not for the frum chasisdim of Crown Heights.

  3. I dont think the problem is the concert I think the problem is the people they got to be part of the concert. Rachmana litzlan they would ever try to do something like that with our kids here in Boro Park the rabbanim would be Screaming.

  6. It is very hard to to say yes to some people in chabad that they can dance with goyim and make purim parties in bars even if you hold you are a shaliach and then try to tell other people that NO they can't go to a concert, when they see and understand everything. and that is what they will be doing when they get older! So be proud and teach yiddishkeit in a way that makes other people want to be closer to yiddishkeit and not go down to there level, when they can do there own goyish things without you.

  8. Doesn't the Chabad Telethon in Los Angeles historically find many goyim participating? Seems similar.

  9. The Chabad Telethon is for goyim and thus in order to appeal to them they put goyim!
